I was new to SLC when I happened upon the magical space you created at 9th. The warm welcome I received from you & your staff was priceless.

The studio has become an important fixture in my weekly routine.
I have been going to 9th&9th to get my Pilates fix for the last two years. The studio has become an important fixture in my weekly routine. During the class you get the time and direction to focus on specific areas of your body that are often ignored and instead make them strong. This has made a huge difference in the overall appearance of my physique and level of strength. This is one of the only fitness programs that has remained constant for me over the years. This is because coming to class never feels like big production or intimidating in anyway. It’s time that I get to spend focusing my mind with my body, it’s my Me time. I can go there in any mood and know I’ll always leave feeling lighter and more in tune and tone.
Yelp
I won’t go anywhere else.
I recently discovered Pilates at the suggestion of my doctor, and quickly found I love the benefits and methods involved. What I didn’t love were the local SLC studios I initially tried, until I found 9th & 9th! I was extremely impressed with the orientation class, which was incredibly thorough and gave me the sense that this studio was different. They care that their clients understand not only the “how” but the “why”, and have given me an incredible understanding of the discipline in a short period of time. Other studios feel chaotic with clients more interested in socializing than getting serious about Pilates. At 9th & 9th the relaxing vibe and focused instructors foster an environment conducive to getting the most out of the hour, and I always leave feeling rejuvenated and pushed just a little further. You walk in the front door and feel the positive energy that immediately puts you in the frame of mind to accept the great knowledge and skill they’re ready to share. I won’t go anywhere else.
Yelp
If you’re a beginner this is definitely the place to go!
Let me preface this review by saying I absolutely despise all things fitness. This studio may have changed that. I know that sounds like a stretch, but that’s how great this place is!
Verena (owner) and Lindsey (instructor) made this such a great experience for me. It’s like they are freaking workout Prozac or something. They both had a way of making me feel more at ease than I would have otherwise. If you’re a beginner this is definitely the place to go! Seeing the muscle tone on people leaving the other classes, I suspect the advanced classes are just as good.
Yelp
My husband and I appreciate having instructors that really know what they’re doing and keep a vigilant eye on your form, etc.
The instructors we’ve had are thorough and professional. I can’t tell you how many places I’ve been to where they studio claims to offer Pilates, but the instructors are just glorified aerobics teachers who’ve taken some weekend Pilates course and then think they know what they’re doing. As someone who is in her mid-fifties, I can’t sustain the injuries I used to when I was young. My husband and I appreciate having instructors that really know what they’re doing and keep a vigilant eye on your form, etc. I do hope that the studio does remain true to keeping Pilates the priority and spinning/etc. just an added plus.
Yelp
I tried to do a variety of different classes, including spin, and have enjoyed every single class.
I just finished up a month of the “Tryout Tourist” unlimited classes and I am so glad I did it. I tried to do a variety of different classes, including spin, and have enjoyed every single class. The instructors are very knowledgable attentive to you as an individual. They mix it up enough that you never feel like you are monotonously doing the same exercises over and over, which I think is one of the hardest things about exercising. It was super easy to schedule & cancel classes through their website and/or app. All the equipment was well kept and up to date. If you are looking for a place to do Pilates, or even if you’ve never tried Pilates but want to get into better shape I highly recommend trying 9th & 9th Pilates! It was definitely worth my time and money.
Yelp
Yes yes yes! This place is the spot!

I was in town for business and came to the Monday morning pilates class with Jenni. I was impressed. The space is clean and the people are friendly. The actual teaching was of a very high standard. The class was full but Jenni made sure everyone knew what they were doing, offered modifications and stayed really focused and engaged.
A great way to start my week in SLC.
Yelp
The studio is clean, the staff is incredible and I’m feeling the results.
I’ve been going for two weeks with incredible results. After three ACL replacements within the past three years I lost my core strength, and support for my spine, hips and knees. I felt sluggish and weak. I had horrible neck, back and shoulder pain and never slept well. Finally found a workout that with every class I feel stronger. The instructors each offer their unique style and knowledge. They are creative, care about each class and provide variety. The studio is clean, the staff is incredible and I’m feeling the results. Best decision I made and worth the money. Sleeping has improved and I have more energy during the day without the aches… just from a few weeks. Great place!
Around me was a multi-age grouping with which I felt relaxed.
Shoot, I thought this studio was for young, elastic practitioners of good health and was anxious about my first session. Surprisingly, I was not the only “old foagie” present. Around me was a multi-age grouping with which I felt relaxed, and it took only a minute for the comfort level to set in, thanks to a welcoming, knowledgeable and dedicated staff. I’ve learned to exercise my 65 year-old body in ways I never imagined. It’s fun and the place feels inviting. I feel a good deal better physically.
I look better and move with greater ease than ever before.
I have done all kinds of working out before starting pilates at 9th and 9th, but didn’t realize that I was neglecting certain muscle groups. Pilates does address all the muscle groups, and I definitely feel an improvement in balance. Actually, I look better and move with greater ease than ever before. I highly recommend this studio.
Beautiful Studio! I went in to check out this studio and fell in love. I’ve shopped around & nothing compares in all of Salt Lake City.

Yelp
After 55 mins of heat pumping planks & more, I was hooked, this place is amazing.
After experiencing on and off running injuries for the past 2 years I needed to do something different. I decided to completely stop running and re-evalute my workout routine. Coming from a running background (elementary school – college) not running was extremely hard to accept. So after I was recommended 9th & 9th by a friend I decided to try a TRX class. I was convinced this class was not going to match up to what I get out of a run (insert foot in mouth) But after 55 mins of heat pumping planks & more, I was hooked, this place is amazing. Every instructor wants you to get the most out of your workout. The classes are kept small so each instructor can make sure your form is correct (being a newbie to all things stretching and arm related I loved this). Each instructor really does care about your goals, when you head in for your class it feels more like a little family. To strengthen my hip flexors I decided to take private lessons with Tessa. Each week she pushed me to work on my flexibility and to pay close attention to my running form. After a few months I attempted to slowly start running again. I am now running everyday and entering races again! I unfortunately had to suspend my membership until after summer, but I can’t wait to return!!!
