I recently discovered Pilates at the suggestion of my doctor, and quickly found I love the benefits and methods involved. What I didn’t love were the local SLC studios I initially tried, until I found 9th & 9th! I was extremely impressed with the orientation class, which was incredibly thorough and gave me the sense that this studio was different. They care that their clients understand not only the “how” but the “why”, and have given me an incredible understanding of the discipline in a short period of time. Other studios feel chaotic with clients more interested in socializing than getting serious about Pilates. At 9th & 9th the relaxing vibe and focused instructors foster an environment conducive to getting the most out of the hour, and I always leave feeling rejuvenated and pushed just a little further. You walk in the front door and feel the positive energy that immediately puts you in the frame of mind to accept the great knowledge and skill they’re ready to share. I won’t go anywhere else.

My husband and I appreciate having instructors that really know what they’re doing and keep a vigilant eye on your form, etc.
The instructors we’ve had are thorough and professional. I can’t tell you how many places I’ve been to where they studio claims to offer Pilates, but the instructors are just glorified aerobics teachers who’ve taken some weekend Pilates course and then think they know what they’re doing. As someone who is in her mid-fifties, I can’t sustain the injuries I used to when I was young. My husband and I appreciate having instructors that really know what they’re doing and keep a vigilant eye on your form, etc. I do hope that the studio does remain true to keeping Pilates the priority and spinning/etc. just an added plus.
